The summer program at Small World Child Care gives children the chance to learn while having fun. We not only have planned activities for the children but also free play allowing them explore their own interests. We have weekly water days for all of our classrooms and planned field trips to venues like; The Columbus Zoo, Sports Ohio, Franklin Park Conservatory, Homestead Park, and much more. We plan our field trips weeks in advance and encourage parent participation on these outings. Small World Child Care encourages large group activities to help children form bonds and assist in building social skills. These activities include kickball, dodgeball, red rover, etc. One of our summer projects for the children is helping grow our center garden! All the children love helping with turning up the soil, planting the seeds, watering the plants, and watching them grow. The best part is taste testing all of the yummy fruits and vegetables that they helped in growing.
